Emergency First Aid – Level 2

Location: Our Training Academy, West Hampstead
Delivery: Face-to-Face / Onsite (Same-Day Delivery)
Accreditation: CPD Certified

Course Overview

The Emergency First Aid module is designed specifically for carers who may be the first on the scene during a medical crisis. In a home care environment, the ability to act quickly and decisively can be life-saving. This course provides you with the practical skills and the “mental toolkit” to manage emergencies confidently until professional paramedics arrive.

Delivered at our West Hampstead Academy—the area’s only dedicated facility for hands-on training—this module transforms theoretical knowledge into physical confidence through simulated emergency scenarios.

Training Efficiency & Logistics

We provide high-impact training that respects your time and professional schedule:

  • Same-Day Delivery: Complete your full emergency first aid training in one focused, face-to-face session.
  • 3 to 4 Courses Per Day: Our Academy is structured so that you can stack this module with others (such as Medication or Infection Control) in a single visit.
  • Focused Coaching: We limit our intake to 10 learners per day. This small group size ensures every learner gets sufficient time with our training mannequins and personalized feedback from the instructor.

Certification & Trust

Our certification sets the gold standard for home care compliance:

  • 3-Year Validity: Your Emergency First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
  • QR Code Validation: Every certificate features a unique QR code. This allows for instant verification by employers or local authorities, ensuring your qualifications are recognized as authentic and up-to-date.

What You Will Learn

This module covers the most common life-threatening situations encountered in a home care setting:

  • The Primary Survey (DRABC): Assessing the scene and the casualty safely (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation).
  • CPR & Defibrillation: Hands-on training for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
  • Choking: How to clear airway obstructions in adults and elderly service users.
  • Managing Bleeding & Shock: Practical techniques for wound dressing and treating different types of shock.
  • Seizures & Unconsciousness: How to manage a fitting service user and use the Recovery Position correctly.
